A meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutor Generals of CIS member-states (CCPG) was held in Bishkek on Thursday.
The heads of the higher supervisory authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the Executive Committee of the CIS also participated in the meeting.
Future cooperation between prosecutors in countering modern challenges and threats, in particular the fight against drug trafficking and human trafficking were discussed during the forum, Trend reports.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan Saule Aitpaeva presented innovative projects in the system of legal statistics which allows a significant increase in the effectiveness of law enforcement activity.
The next meeting is scheduled to take place in 2014 in Dushanbe.
