Council meeting of foreign ministers of GUAM at UN General Assembly

The Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of GUAM was held today during the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. It was attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Moldova and the national coordinator of GUAM's Secretary General.

The Foreign Ministers discussed the political and sectoral cooperation within GUAM, as well as with partner countries, and the implementation of the UN Resolution on Cooperation between the United Nations and the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development . 

The Council welcomed the intention of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly to send observation missions to the presidential elections in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
