The parliament of Georgia today issued a new initiative to limit the powers of the president of the country, this time it proposes transferring the ability to create temporary territorial units to the government.
Today, the third reading of this initiative was discussed at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy and Local Government. Changes may be made to the law "On the creation of appropriate conditions for a peaceful solution of the conflict in the former Autonomous District of South Ossetia."
