Azerbaijan will have webcams installed in 1000 polling stations, Deputy Minister for Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mamedov said at the center for technical control of the CEC, News Azerbaijan reports.
All the polling stations were equipped with telephones in 2008 for the first time. 500 of them had webcams installed. 125 polling stations will have fiber-optic cables laid. Webcams have been set in 20% of polling stations.
The Nakhchivan Autonomy will have satellite communication.
Software for protection of the CEC website was developed. The Ministry for Communications and Information Technologies, Special State Security Service are cooperating the protect electoral websites.
