Georgia joins Adriatic and Baltic Charters

In the framework of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, Georgia joined the Adriatic and Baltic Charters. The official ceremony was attended by Gerogian Foreign Minister Maya Pandzhikidze, Georgian Ambassador to the US Archil Gegeshidze, foreign ministers of the member states of the Charters and representatives of the US Department of State.

 

The Adriatic Charter is an association formed by Albania, Croatia, the Republic of Macedonia and the United States for the purpose of aiding their attempts to join NATO.

 

The Baltic Charter is a charter of partnership among the United States, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
