Ramzan Kadyrov refuses to call his post ‘Chechen president’

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, proposed that the parliament deprive him of the title ‘president’. He said that Russia has only one state figure with the right to call himself president.

He said that the country should end the ‘presidential parade’, the presidential and governmental press-service reports.

Kadyrov said that he would accept any naming of his post, except the word ‘president’. He also made note of his refusal to sign the document of delimitation of authority.

Kadyrov said that he is going on vacation and will spend it in prayers, visiting sacred places and charitable activities.
