The press-secretary of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, Alvi Karimov, does not exclude that the new name for the president’s post may be ‘imam’. Any name that does not violate the Constitution of Russia and Chechnya is acceptable for Kadyrov, Interfax reports.
Karimov said that the president sent a declaration to the parliament, in which he wanted to replace the word ‘president’.
Karimov expressed his personal point of view saying that ‘imam’ is a succinct and easily pronounced word.
