Iosif Kobzon, Peoples Artist of the USSR and member of parliament, signed a letter to the Nobel Committee, promoting Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize. He blamed US President Barack Obama for plans to intervene in Syria.
Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the idea to promote Putin for the Nobel Prize had not been discussed by the Presidential Administration.
