NATO urges Russia to reconsider recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has expressed concerns about Russia's enforcement of the borders of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.


He said that such acts violated Russia's obligations and hindered a settlement of the conflicts. Rasmussen urged Russia to remove the barriers


The secretary general reiterated that NATO supported Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty.
