The head of the SOCAR Turkey Enerji company, Kenan Yavuz, says Azerbaijan is Turkey's main investor, the AzerTadj news agency reports.
According to Yavuz, the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline project (TANAP) is Turkey's and Azerbaijan's main strategic project. The possibility of transporting Azerbaijani oil to Europe via this pipeline is crucial, he says.
All in all (including the TANAP project) the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is going to invest $17 billion in Turkey, Yavuz informs.
