The Southern Military District of Russia will receive about 100 Iskander-M missile systems, 120-mm 2S9 Nona-S artillery systems, Khrizantema-S anti-tank missile systems, spokesman of the military district Igor Gorbul said, RIA Novosti reports.
Moreover, the military district will receive over 250 new BTR-82A armored vehicles, KamAZ trucks with Tayfun computers and Tigr-M armored off-roaders.
Gorbul noted that many military vehicles of the 1980-1990s had been replaced with modern models in the Southern Military District in the past 2 years. The district has received over 150 new Ural and KamAZ trucks this year.
