Parliamentary minority unhappy with work of interdepartmental commission of Georgia

A member of the parliamentary minority Tinatin Bokuchava has said that the Georgian pro-presidential party "United National Movement" finds the work of the interdepartmental commission for free and fair elections ineffective.

Bokuchava said that there is pressure on activists and supporters of the National Movement in the commission.

The Interdepartmental Commission was established in May 2012, the year of the parliamentary elections on the basis of the new Electoral Code.

The presidential elections in Georgia are scheduled for October 27, 2013.
