Hasan Gafuri Fard, an Iranian observer of the Azerbaijani presidential polls, said that the elections were very organized and peaceful. Over 80% of the population voted, he noted.
The observer believes that it was a sign that the president had done a lot to make people happy in the past 10 years. Fard supposes that President Ilham Aliyev became more skilled. Moreover, the Iranian official called Azerbaijan a regional state with oil and gas. He said that the country had practically eradicated poverty, modernizing the state where people would love to live.
