Belorussian president Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev on his convincing victory.
"The support of the voters in the elections once again proved the high authority that you rightfully have in your country, ensuring the continuity of the course that people chose. Your name is associated with economic progress and the well-being of the population, the growth of the country's prestige in the international arena. I am convinced that your activity in the highest state position will contribute to the prosperity of Azerbaijan and the development of mutually-beneficial Azerbaijani-Belorussian cooperation," Lukashenko is quoted by Trend.
