The Chemical Weapons Convention comes into force in Syria today. The country filed its bid to join the convention on September 14, concluding the process 30 days later.
Syria has been utilizing chemical weapons with the UN and the OPCW. The latter received the Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts. The organizations have a commission of 60 people involved in the process in Syria.
