The first round of Iran's talks with the 5+1 group (the USA, the UK, China, Russia and Germany) has finished in the Swiss city of Geneva, Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyed Abbas Arakchi said today.
"The talks proceeded in a very positive atmosphere. The Iranian party presented a realistic plan of the resolution of the ongoing conflict surrounding the Iranian nuclear programme. This plan is very well-based and logical," the Iranian minister is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Iran is trying to develop a nuclear energy industry, while the Western powers believe the Islamic Republic is fact building a nuclear bomb.
