Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter welcomes the new Iranian administration’s desire to establish a constructive interaction with the international community, expressing optimism about the outcome of the upcoming talks between Iran and the six major world powers in Geneva, Iran's state-run media outlet Press TV reports.
Burkhalter said on Monday that Sweden is ready to mediate between Iran and the members of the 5+1 group (permanent members of the UN Security Council - the United States, China, Russia, France, the United Kingdom plus Germany) over Iran’s nuclear programme, noting that the European Union also plays a key role in this process.
