Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after a meeting with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders that he had discussed visa liberalization, preparations of the fundamental Russia-EU agreement and human rights, ITAR-TASS reports.
Technically, documents for simplification of the visa regime of Russia and the EU were ready, he noted.
Reynders clarified that there was certain progress and the process needed political will for completion. He added that the Russia-EU summit was set for January 2014.
