Ex-speaker of Kazakh parliament dies

Ural Muhamejanov, ex-Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament of the third and fourth calling, died at the age of 64, Trend reports.

Incumbent Speaker of Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin cancelled his visit to China and returned to Kazakhstan.

Muhamejanov was born in 1948. He became head of a district in the Torgay Region of Kazakhstan in 1992-1994. He worked at the governmental office and presidential administration. He became a member of parliament in 2004 and Speaker of Parliament in 2004-2007, 2008-2012.
