Russian lawmaker calls for dialogue between authorities and diasporas

One of the reasons for the recent nationalistic uprising is the absence of sufficient dialogue between the Russian authorities and diasporas, the chairman of the State Duma's Committee for Information Policy, Alexey Mitrofanov, says.

"The prominent members of diasporas are not in touch with the authorities. There should be a constant political dialogue," he says.

The lawmaker also says the visa regime with other post-Soviet states will not solve the existing problems. Only mutual dialogue can solve the economic and political issues, he underlines.
