Russia's deputy foreign minister and US ambassador discuss Syrian crisis

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov discussed the Syrian crisis today with US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul.

The parties also discussed the Iranian nuclear programme and the results of the latest round of Geneva talks between Iran and the 5+1 group, RIA Novosti cites the statement issued by the Russian foreign ministry as saying.
