Explosion hits vicinity of Damascus

An explosion has hit the vicinity of the Syrian capital of Damascus. Several people have been killed as a result of the explosion, the BBC reports.

The district hit by the explosion is controlled by al-Assad's forces and inhabited mainly by Christians, the Syrian State Information Agency informs.
