The president of Karachaevo-Cherkessia says that it is early to abolish national republics.

The president of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Boris Ebzeev, supports the idea of changing the title of the heads of the national republics, but notes that it is too early to abolish the institution, reports Interfax.
"All my colleagues in the North Caucasus Federal District support the idea," said Ebzeev. Considering the date of the changes, Ebzeev said that in September the parliament will have an opportunity to discuss the question, and changes to the constitution will be made later.
