Kazakhstan takes eco-friendly course of development

Kazakhstan will use both traditional and alternate energy sources, said Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbay Karabalin at the Charge the Future plenary session within the framework of the 4th Youth Forum of the World Petroleum Council in Calgary yesterday, Trend reports.


Kazakhstan will use advanced technology to implement eco-friendly energy systems and use alternate energy sources, he noted. Such a policy will serve to prepare younger generations for innovative thinking and approaches, he said.


The minister added that the ecological efforts of Kazakhstan will be demonstrated at the EXPO-2017 Exhibition in Astana. He proposed holding the 2017 session of the World Petroleum Congress in Astana, the Kazah capital.
