The USA is imposing sanctions on three daughter companies of Iran's national shipping company, the IRISL, Trend reports, referring to an article in the Financial Times newspaper by US Treasury Secretary Stuart Levey. He also called on the US foreign partners to follow its example.
"Iran is using their national maritime carrier to advance their rocket program and to transport other military cargoes," Levi explained the sanctions. He also reminded his readership that sanctions have already been imposed by the international community on a number of the IRISL's daughter companies.
