At a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council today Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to work with Belarus and Kazakhstan to eliminate levies in trade within the Customs Union on a reciprocal basis.
"As we have agreed at the meeting in Astana it is necessarily certainly to work on eliminating any levies and reciprocal preferences. We have to create equal conditions."
During the meeting, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed concern that the amount of levies in trade within the Customs Union does not decrease but only increases.
