Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to open own TV channel

The presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has decided the action plan for informatization of the central office of the presidium, News Azerbaijan reports.

The talks were attended by Rasim Alguliyev, secretary academician of the ANAS, Director of the ANAS Institute for Information Technologies, a corresponding member of the ANAS, Gulara Amirova, scientific secretary of the ANAS presidium, Sevindzh Gasanova, head of the common section of the central office of the ANAS presidium, and Rashid Alekperov, Chief Engineer of the Institute for Information Technologies of the ANAS.

Alguliyev described reforms at the ANAS and measures that need to be taken to realize the plan.

Alekperov told about structural subdivisions of the ANAS presidium basing on the IT, development of electronic documents, reconstruction of www.science.gov.az and plans to open an Internet channel of the ANAS.
