Major presidential candidates comment on Georgian elections

Several presidential candidates and Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili have already voted in the ongoing presidential elections in Georgia. After taking part in the vote the politicians talked to reporters.

"I voted for the future of Georgia. I believe everyone will make the right decision," Ivanishvili said.

David Bakradze, the candidate from the United National Movement party, was among those who voted first. "I voted for the stable and better future of our country. I voted for security and our European choice," he said.

Representative of the ruling Georgian Dream coalition Georgi Margelashvili said that was very happy and that the elections are the most calm and democratic in the history of Georgia.

Former parliamentary speaker Nino Burdzhanadze, who is also running for president, said that she voted for the unity of Georgia. She also noted that, even though her supporters have already noticed several violations, she hoped that the elections would be free and fair.
