Vote deprivation for grave crimes may be removed in Russia

Sergey Ivanov, an LDPR member, said that the parliament received a bill removing all vote restrictions for people sentenced for grave and exceptionally grave crimes, RIA Novosti reports.

The Russian Constitutional Court said that such restrictions were unconstitutional.

Ivanov reminded that the United Russia Party proposed vote deprivation of 10 years for grave crimes and 15 for exceptionally grave crimes.
