Jailed former Georgian PM to boycott hearings

Jailed former Georgian prime minister Vano Merabishvili says he is going to boycott the hearings of his case because Kutaisi City Hall refuses to meet his demands.

One of President Mikheil Saakashvili's closest associates, Merabishvili was arrested in connection to an investigation into alleged misspending of 5.2 million laris of public funds on United National Movement party activists during the 2012 election campaign.
