Iranian military and PJAK have shootout on Iranian-Turkish border

Maku Chief Executive Hamid Ahmedian said that two soldiers of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution of Iran were injured and one was killed in a shootout with the PJAK on the Iranian-Turkish border yesterday, Trend reports.

A PJAK group attempted to cross the border from Turkey to Iran. Several militants were killed in the shootout.

Another shootout happened in the area earlier when a group of militants was trying to cross the border from Pakistan. 17 Iranian border guards were killed and 5 were injured. Four police officers were taken hostage.
