Lasha Khutsishvili, head of the Income Service of the Georgian Ministry for Finances, and Ziya Altun Yaldiz, Turkish Deputy Minister for Customs and Trade, met today, Trend reports.
Yaldiz congratulated Georgia on democratic presidential elections and noted the progress the country had achieved since becoming independent. The sides discussed the cooperation of customs offices, efficiency of their work on the Georgian-Turkish border, obstacles that needed overcoming to improve their progress.
The officials agreed to activate cooperation in mutual recognition of authorized economic operators and development of mechanisms for an exchange of information.
