Georgian parliament to remain in Kutaisi

On Friday Georgian lawmakers failed to come to an agreement concerning the parliament's official location. The ruling Georgian Dream coalition's proposal to return the parliament to Tbilisi was not supported by the United National Movement.

The lawmakers decided to postpone the vote for an uncertain period.

The location of the Georgian parliament was relocated to Kutaisi in Spring 2012 on the initiative of the United National Movement, which at that time was the ruling party.
