This week Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev established the State Commission for the South Gas Corridor project. Vestnik Kavkaza asked the head of the Baku Centre for Oil Research, Ilham Shaban, to comment on the move.
According to the expert, President Aliyev's decision to establish a special body responsible for the South Gas Corridor shows that the project is large-scale and important to the country.
