Russia, Kazakhstan to sign alliance treaty this week

Kazakh and Russian Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin will attend the 10th forum for interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia in Yekaterinburg on November 10-11 and sign a new good-neighbour and alliance treaty, said Altay Abibullayev of the Kazakh presidential central communication services, Trend reports.The sides will discuss industrial cooperation at the forum. Heads of ministries and agencies, regions, large enterprises, science institutes, holdings and companies, experts of innovative technologies will take part in the talks.Russian-Kazakh trade turnover totaled $15.2 billion in 8 months of 2013. 70% of the volume were accumulated through interregional cooperation. Kazakhstan invested $1.9 billion in Russia from 2006 to Q1 2013. Russia invested $6 billion in Kazakhstan.
