Russia’s Zhirinovsky may become persona non grata in Kazakhstan

Kazakh ex-Senator Gani Kasymov asked Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov to declare Russian member of parliament Vladimir Zhirinovsky persona non grata in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports.

According to Kasymov, Zhirinovsky said at a Russian talk show that he had arrived from Central Asia 50 years ago and had been unsatisfied with the population of the region. The ex-senator added that Zhirinovsky had recently offended the Caucasus.

Zhirinovsky said at a talk show of Vladimir Solovyov on October 24 that the North Caucasus could stop terrorism if it adopted fines for birth of the third child in every family. Moreover, the Russian MP proposed isolation of the Caucasus with barbed wire to limit movement of its population. Kyrgyzstan has already declared Zhirinovsky persona non grata.
