Russia thanks NATO for Steadfast Jazz drills invitation

The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has thanked NATO for an invitation to the Steadfast Jazz drills at the Drawsko Pomorskie Range in Poland, ITAR-TASS reports.The NATO established headquarters in Latvia for the drills. NATO soldiers demonstrate defense skills, followed by an offensive operation. The Russian military observed the process on November 6-7.The drills are held on November 2-9. Over 6,000 people, 350 combat vehicles, 12 ships and over 50 units of aircraft took part in the drills. Sweden, Finland and Ukraine participated in the process.Certified subdivisions and command structures of the NATO will join the Rapid Reaction Forces in 2014.
