Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Alasania, who is expected to head the new cabinet, has named his successor. The ministry will now be headed by Colonel Alexander Chikaidze.
Chikaidze, born in 1985, gratuated from the University of Tbilisi. He served as Georgia's police chief since March, 2013. Before that he was the police chief of the Kakheti region, Trend informs.
