Special forces of the Southern Military District of Russia will receive about 60 Tayfun armored vehicles by late 2013, Yuga.ru reports.
The vehicles will be distributed between the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories. The vehicles can withstand a bomb equivalent to 8kg of TNT. 16 people can fit in each vehicle.
Over 350 modernized military and special vehicles will be provided to the Southern Military District by the end of the year.
