Russia joins UN Human Rights Council

Russia received 176 out of 193 votes at the UN General Assembly yesterday and became a member of the UN Human Rights Council, RIA Novosti reports.

Saudi Arabia, Cuba and China were among the other 14 new members of the UNHRC. The Council consists of 47 member-states chosen via a secret vote for three years.
