Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmi that the Arab League (LAS) had made several hasty decisions about Syria in the past 2 years.
Lavrov noted that the principle of consensus was the foundation of the work of the Arab League.
The Russian foreign and defense ministers arrived in Cairo for talks with their counterparts and Egyptian Acting President Adly Mansour. The Russian ministers will have a 2+2 meeting with the defense and foreign ministers of Egypt.
