US Secretary of State John Kerry told French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon wanted to start the Geneva-2 Conference on December 12, Syria media reports.
The National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces said in Istanbul that it was ready to participate in the Geneva-2 Conference. Andrey Baklanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, noted that, despite reluctance of some opposition groups to attend the talks, the conference should still be organized as soon as possible.
