NATO secretary general thanks Georgia's Saakashvili

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has thanked Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili for his fruitful work during his presidency, Georgia Online reports.Rasmussen noted Saakashvili’s achievements in democratic transformations, Euro-Atlantic integration, contribution to the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.The secretary general said that relations between NATO and Georgia had especially expanded in the past 10 years. He reminded that Georgia was striving for NATO membership and was an active member part of the NATO-Georgia commission.
