Irina Yegorova, Deputy Mayor for Legal Support and Municipal Control of Astrakhan, has become the city's acting mayor. Her appointment was signed by Mikhail Stolyarov, RIA Novosti reports.
Yegorova was born in Astrakhan in 1969. She studied at the Saratov Legal Institute of D.I. Kursky in 1989-1994. She started work at the Astrakhan Regional Prosecutor’s Office. In 2012, she became the head of the legal department of the Astrakhan administration. She is a legal advisor. Yegorova has a husband, three children and a grandson.
Astrakhan Mayor Mikhail Stolyarov was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe of 10 million rubles last week.
