French President Francois Hollande is on a visit to Israel where he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed the Iranian issue at closed-door talks. At a conference in Jerusalem, they expressed solidarity in their approach to Iran. Netanyahu warned that everyone trying to lift a hand against Jews had ended up bad.
The talks started with cooperation in medicine, education and advanced technologies and quickly moved to the Iranian issue. Netanyahu called the compromise discussed in Geneva disadvantageous and dangerous. The Israeli leader thanked France for its encouragement of new sanctions against Iran.
Hollande noted that military solutions were not a good idea to settle the problem. He named four conditions France will insist on at the talks of Iran and six mediators: international control over all Iranian nuclear facilities, halt to 20%-uranium enrichment, reduction of nuclear fuel stockpiles and closing down of the Arak facility producing plutonium.
