Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has condemned Israel for its efforts to block a nuclear deal between Iran and the 5+1 group (the USA, the UK, France, Russia, China and Germany), Iran's state-run media outlet Press TV reports on Wednesday.
“We have seen that statements coming out of Israel indicate that they are not interested in finding solutions [to the nuclear issue], they have been trying to push for problems,” the Iranian minister is quoted as saying after his meeting with his Italian counterpart Emma Bonino, which was held in Rome on Tuesday.
Zarif also accused Israel of trying to sabotage the nuclear talks and of stoking tensions in the Middle East.
“So we have reason to be suspicious of every move they make, because every move they make is about building tension and spreading mistrust,” he said.
