A counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed in the Leninsky District of Makhachkala at 6.00 am and the Shamilsky District of Dagestan at 4.00 am as a response to last night’s shootout with local militants, Interfax reports.
The head of the local district police station was shot in the shoulder in Teletl at about 2.35 am. His attackers were surrounded in a house.
