Turkish parliament to ban mixed education of boys and girls

Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Sadik Yakut said that mixed education of boys and girls may be banned in Turkey, CNN Turk reports.

He said that mixed education was a mistake that the Turkish authorities had made and that will be corrected. Yakut added that boys and girls will have separate gymnasiums.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had said earlier that student dormitories will be separated for males and females.
