The Ukrainian parliament gave 365 votes for the bill on improvement of the electoral laws, as recommended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
In December 2012, Ukraine was warned that improvement of electoral laws was one of the conditions for association with the EU. The Ukrainian parliament has not approved a single bill of the 6 proposed to treat convicts abroad.
