Krasnodar official says local authorities paying special attention to inter-ethnic relations

The deputy head of the Interior Policy Department of the Krasnodar Territory's administration, Magdin Chermit, says the Krasnodar authorities are paying special attention to inter-ethnic peace in the region.

The remarks were made at a panel discussion devoted to the issue held in the framework of the Sochi Journalism School.

"The issue is a very acute one. That is why we are establishing national cultural centres for many ethnic groups in cities of the region, such as Krasnodar, Sochi and Armavir," the official says.
